I'm procrastinating again. I'm running out of time to do that though! We are leaving for Wisconsin Dells, our first camping trip this year, sometime this afternoon. I've got to make menu's, go grocery shopping, pack some clothes, dog leashes, and who knows what else, I've not been in the RV since last September!
So what am I doing? Just sitting here catching up with the hood... Well heck, I've got 3.5 hours till DH gets home! :))
Loves
- 80 degree weather, breezy enough to keep the skeeters at bay
- The ground so soft and easy to dig in while planting my flowers
- photography!
- Laundry is done for a few days
- Dishes are washed (see hates)
- My new camera, but I haven't begun to unleash its potential
- Turbo doesn't have dog breath anymore! (see hates)
- Iced Tea
- Wicked the novel
- Nothing left to plan except attending the ceremony and reception!
- My memory. I googled chemo brain yet again, and the mayo clinic suggests learning a new language to stimulate brain recovery. Heck, I am having trouble with THIS language. Words disappear from my thoughts, I forget names of people I've known for years, I draw a total blank on whatever I was just talking about. Maybe I'll give Rosetta Stone a peek. I've always wanted to learn to speak Italian.
- Misspelling peek on a photo I posted today
- The "last" load of wash in the dryer
- DIshwasher needs emptied
- 200.00 to have Turbo's teeth cleaned yesterday. yikes! well, I have to support the vet. their employees support us.
- pee spots on the carpet
- how easy I tire
- waiting for test results
- how much more zoom costs. dammit.
More loves...the way these shots came out! :))
These little yellow flowers are something I bought today, I forget what they are called though.
I hope you enjoyed the walk around the garden today! Stay tuned...
What a full day. I don't know how I ever had time to work full time. Sheesh! I did all the laundry, planted gazoodles of pink petunias (see previous post), met DH and SS for lunch, went to the nursery, bought more booty, and planted all that too.
Here's my booty. Advance warning, its a crappy picture. But, it is the only "before shot".
I started lining the little fence with fieldstones, but I ran out. Our neighbor has a big pile, DH is supposed to go ask for some with the tractor. I have to put that chore on a honey do list, or it will never get done.
Wow it looks crowded in there doesn't it? Ahh well, I don't care, its green and colorful and I love it. I always over plant. Over and out for now.
Wow, its Tuesday already! Here are some photos from the bridal shower that Nick's mom had for Nikki on Sunday
She's beautiful, but I take the dorkiest pictures!
This is Diane, my SD, she's Nikki's maid of honor.
I am so glad my shower was Saturday, and hers was Sunday, I would have felt like I didn't even come close with the decorations. Check them out...
The little purses were wrapped around Hershey's nuggets, each one hand made in her bridal colors. Check out the jelly beans too!
The cake was simply gorgeous! (and yummy) It was a great day, but by the end of the shower, I was exhausted. I think we all were, Tina, Nikki, Diane, Debbi, and Becky, as we had a bridal shower marathon weekend! Everything was perfect at both. And Nikki is glowing!
I have an appointment with the radiation oncologist at 2:45. Same time I used to go get nuked every day. For some reason, I'm just uneasy. I don't remember if it is one week or two since I gave the ok for the brca1/2 testing, but those results are due in soon too. It is really funny how all the anticipation and dread come flooding back with just a single checkup with Dr. Jones. aye aye aye
My mammo and ultrasound are in August, I feel like they are letting too much time go by without checking me. I wonder if everyone gets this nervous at the one year mark. I had so many microcalcifications last year, and I know they can be a precursor to cancer. I wish I could just get it done sooner, like NOW.
The fun never ends on this cancer journey.
